ABOUT US
Educating for a brighter tomorrow.
Michigan Educator Workforce Initiative (MEWI) uses a holistic, systemic approach to addressing critical points in the educator pipeline.
MEWI operates as a hub for educator talent – collaborating with K12 districts, higher education institutions, and various education-focused organizations to design and launch innovative programs. MEWI operates flexibly within and across three “modes” to ensure our partners receive the support they need to achieve ambitious goals that will have a marked and long-lasting impact on the state’s educator talent landscape. These modes include:
-
We develop and establish new programs in close collaboration with leaders and stakeholders.
-
We secure and direct funding to scale evidence-based programs and initiatives.
-
We curate spaces and processes for shared learning, data reflection, and dialogue.
